BugGuide - A super helpful website for identifying bugs of North America. Run by Iowa State University, BugGuide is a resource for professionals and hobbyists alike. Post your pictures and find out more about the bugs living all around you!

iNaturalist - This website and free smartphone app let you upload pictures of any living thing you find, and the built-in image recognition will give you the most likely species. Your observations also help scientists collect data on where different kinds of organisms are found! With a busy forum and many experts and hobbyists ready to help, this international citizen science platform is quickly becoming a highly respected source of data!

Bat-ivities - Bats are another animal that are often unfairly feared and threatened by humans. This kid-friendly site has lots of games, puzzles, and other activities that can help families learn about bats and how to protect them together!
